Our Core Privacy Commitment
At OmeTalk, your privacy is our primary priority. We believe in minimal data collection. We only require an Email Address and Password for account creation, and a quick selfie check to verify genuine accounts.
1. Information We Collect
During account registration and usage, OmeTalk collects only the minimal information strictly required to authenticate you and facilitate matchmaking:
- Email Address: Used solely as your account identifier for secure passwordless login / OTP authentication and critical security notifications.
- Password / Auth Tokens: Handled and securely hashed by our identity provider (Supabase Auth) to verify your sessions.
- Declared Gender: Selected by you during onboarding to allow optional gender-based match filtering.
- Selfie Verification Image: Submitted during onboarding strictly to verify gender authenticity and protect community members from deceptive bots and fake profiles.

Unlike other social apps, OmeTalk does NOT collect, request, or store any of the following:
3. How Live Video Streams & User Content Are Handled
OmeTalk provides real-time 1-on-1 peer video and audio streams using WebRTC technologies powered by Agora RTC.
- No Video Recording: Live video and audio sessions are transmitted peer-to-peer in real time and are never recorded, monitored in storage, or saved to any OmeTalk servers.
- Temporary In-Session Moderation: When a user submits an in-call safety report against a violator, a single static snapshot may be attached to the complaint to allow moderators to evaluate and enforce community guidelines.
4. Data Storage, Security & Protection
Your account credentials and verification status are stored on enterprise cloud infrastructure (Supabase PostgreSQL) protected by:
- End-to-End Encryption in Transit: All API and WebSocket communications use HTTPS / TLS 1.3 encryption.
- Row Level Security (RLS): Database tables enforce strict access policies ensuring users can only view their own authenticated profile records.
- Security Definer Isolation: Sensitive account administration and ban cascading run inside isolated database procedures.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with trusted third-party providers strictly to operate the core platform:
- Supabase (Authentication & Database): Handles account login and secure credential verification.
- Agora RTC (Real-Time Communication): Connects low-latency video and audio streams between matched peers.
- Google AdMob (Advertisements): Displays non-intrusive banner and interstitial advertisements to support free service availability.
6. Account & Data Deletion Policy (Google Play Compliant)
You have the absolute right to permanently delete your account and all associated personal data at any time.
Open the OmeTalk mobile app → Tap your Profile icon → Scroll to the bottom → Tap "Delete My Account" → Confirm the deletion prompt. Your account and data are purged instantly.
If you have uninstalled the app, you can submit a web request directly through our official Account Deletion Request Page. We will process your request within 24-48 hours.
What gets deleted: Your email address, profile settings, verification status, selfie verification photos, presence records, and match queue entries are permanently destroyed.
7. Age Restriction (18+)
OmeTalk is strictly designed and operated for users who are at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from or provide services to minors.
